In April, select products from the Work Horse® lubricants line became available for purchase online through CommoditAg, an e-commerce service for farmers and ranchers.
“This is a great partnership for MFA Oil,” says Will Reniker, director of distribution and procurement. “CommoditAg is made up of different agricultural co-ops that have come together to form a direct to consumer solution for ag customers. They have done an excellent job of connecting farmers to the products they need.”
Initially, MFA Oil is offering four heavy-duty lubricant options for CommoditAg users to purchase:
- Work Horse Heavy Duty Engine Oil SAE 15W-40
- Work Horse Total Use Grease
- Work Horse Industrial Hydraulic Oil – ISO 46
- Work Horse X-TRA GUARD™ Universal Tractor Fluid
“We are starting with a limited selection, but what we are offering covers a wide range of equipment needs and applications,” says Reniker.
Reniker sees two key benefits of selling lubricants online through CommoditAg’s platform.
“We expect to grow our brand awareness of the Work Horse line and we will also be getting our products in front of consumers that are not in our current market area,” Reniker says.
CommoditAg customers have the option of having their order delivered or picking it up at their nearest warehouse. The company has warehouse locations in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin.
