Staff at the MFA Oil Home Office raised nearly $35,000 for local non-profit organizations in Columbia during the company’s recent Week of Giving.
A total of 77 employees elected to donate a “Helping Hand” payroll deduction of one hour’s pay per month for a year. Employees could choose between four organizations to support: The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri, True North, Voluntary Action Center of Boone County and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbia.
There were several means for employees to contribute to the week’s fundraising efforts beyond payroll deductions, including: raffle ticket sales, a 50/50 drawing, concession sales and games such as Bingo, a poker walk, Family Feud, office Olympics and a super farmer competition.
Thanks to everyone who helped to make this event a success.
