With an increasing amount of cybercrime occurring on the web, it is now more important than ever to make sure your confidential information is kept safe. One of the best ways to safeguard potentially sensitive emails is to use encryption.
Encrypting a message converts it to code, preventing anyone besides the intended recipient from reading it. MFA Oil has a built-in encryption system for sending highly confidential information to people outside of our company through Outlook.
Simply typing #confidential#, #secret#, or #encrypt# into the subject line or body of an email going to anyone outside the company will automatically encrypt the message and any attachments.
Your recipient will then receive a message notifying them that they have received an encrypted email.
The email will then direct the recipient to click on a link in the email. From there, they will be instructed on how to access the email. If this is the first encrypted email your recipient has received from an MFA Oil employee, they will need to create a user name and password for access. If they already have a login, they will simply need to enter their information.
Once the recipient has logged into the system, the email will be decrypted and they will be able to open your email and attachments.
If the recipient replies to the email, their response will automatically be encrypted in the email that is sent back to you.
