With MFA Oil standardizing on the Apple iPhone, I thought it might be nice to throw a few tips and tricks out to everyone regarding how to get the most out of this device. Below you will find a variety of items that should help make using the Apple iOS more valuable.
1. Closing background apps without shutting down your phone.
This handy little trick saves both battery life and improves performance. Simply double-click the Home Button, (that little round button at the bottom) and when your open apps appear, touch and swipe them upwards to close.
2. Improve performance by clearing your RAM.
Start by holding down the Sleep/Wake Button (the upper right side of the phone) until the slide to power off button appears, but don’t shut it off. Instead click and hold the Home button until your home screen reappears. You have now successfully cleared your RAM.
3. Use the email search.
This is a major time saver when it comes to finding that specific conversation you need to reference quickly. From within any part of your mailbox (inbox, sent, or a folder) simply swipe down on the screen and a search window will appear at the top of the screen. Type a keyword that should exist in the conversation you’re looking for and a list of messages containing it will appear.
4. Answer a call with a quick text message.
Sometimes a call comes in, but you simply cannot take it at that moment. If you want to let the caller know you will get back to them as soon as you can without answering, try the tip below.
When the call comes in, tap the word Message that appears above Slide to Answer. You’ll get a menu of responses: “Can I call you later?” “Sorry, I can’t talk right now,” etc. Tap the one you want, and your iPhone will automatically send a text message for you. You also have the option of tapping Custom for sending the person a customized message.
Finally, if you have any major problems with your corporate iPhone; lose it, drop it in water, crack the screen, or anything else for that matter… please remember to start by contacting our IT service desk at 573-219-5777 so our team can assist.
I hope you’ve found these few tips helpful to making your iPhone work better for you.
