Greg Sellers has been named director of information technology by chief financial officer Jeff Raetz, effective September 19. Sellers, who had been serving as interim director of IT since June 2022, will lead the overall planning, organization and execution of all IT business functions for the company.
“Greg is a solid leader and a good cultural fit for this position,” says Raetz. “Other than a short stint where the grass wasn’t necessarily greener, Greg has been a key member of the MFA Oil IT department since 2013. He has vast experience both working in and leading IT departments, so, to me, he’s the right person at the right time. We have a lot of work to do to streamline and simplify our processes and systems, and I’m excited about what Greg brings to the table to help MFA Oil move forward.”
Sellers’ primary duties will include planning and deploying technology, aligning IT with the overall business, and providing strategic business insight on a company-wide basis to the senior management team.
“I am very honored and humbled to have the opportunity to lead our technology team,” Sellers says. “I will do my best to promote a partnership with our other departments and to support our company’s ideals and culture.”
Sellers began his career with MFA Oil in November 2013 as senior manager of infrastructure operations. He briefly left the company in 2020 before returning later that year to his former position.
Before joining MFA Oil, Sellers held several IT leadership positions including chief information and security officer with Burrell Center Inc., vice president of information technology and security at Peoples Bank of the Ozarks, and director of IT for the City of Branson.
