Throughout his 27-year history with the company, Greer has served as a plant manager, district sales manager, regional sales manager, regional vice president and vice president of supply and government affairs.

“James possesses a deep institutional knowledge of our cooperative and has built strong relationships with external partners that are beneficial to our entire company,” says Jon Ihler, president and CEO. “His experience and industry connections hold immense value to MFA Oil, and I appreciate his continued leadership of our supply and transportation divisions.”

Will Reniker

Prior to his promotion, Reniker had been serving as director of distribution and procurement and was responsible for all planning and operational aspects of the Moberly Business Support Campus, including the truck shop, warehouse operations, research laboratory and the call center. Reniker began his 16-year career at MFA Oil as a Jiffy Lube window washer.

In his new position, Reniker will oversee the company’s sales, marketing and APM operations. His direct reports will include Bill Marshall, director of business development and APM; Ashley Bower, senior manager of marketing services; and Adam Buckallew, senior public and government relations specialist. Reniker will report directly to Ihler.

“Will is uniquely positioned to take on this role because of his diverse experience within the company, his strong understanding of the needs of our internal and external customers and his exceptional knowledge of our products,” says Ihler. “I appreciate his eagerness to drive sales, his pursuit of the company’s growth goals and his never-settle approach.”

His responsibilities will include leading culture initiatives focused on the company’s core values, implementing strategies to engage employees and improve retention, and coaching and mentoring managers on culture initiatives. May will continue to oversee employee relations while reporting to Janice Serpico, chief human resources officer.

May joined MFA Oil in 2001 as a training agent and has held a wide variety of roles within the company including: LLC district and operations manager, director of project development, director of marketing, director of employee and public relations and director of employee relations.

“Tom is passionate about our employees and MFA Oil company,” says Serpico. “I cannot think of a better person to drive the culture, engagement and core values of the company. Tom’s diverse, 20-year career with the company gives him the insight we need to build a strong culture across the organization.”

Jennifer Bach

Jennifer Bach has been promoted to senior director of Break Time operations. She is responsible for developing programs, procedures and people to better serve Break Time customers and will continue to report to Curtis Chaney, senior vice president of retail.

Since joining MFA Oil in 1998, Bach has worked as price book coordinator, operations coordinator, category manager, merchandising manager, director of marketing and merchandising and director of retail.

“When Jennifer assumed the role of director of retail for Break Time last year, she stepped into one of the most challenging retail environments we have experienced due to the pandemic,” says Chaney. “While working collaboratively with Break Time leadership, she helped protect our employees, keep our stores open and maintain service to our customers. Even with the challenges of the pandemic, Jennifer was able to drive profitability and set the cornerstone for future success of our stores.”

Adam Buckallew

Adam Buckallew will take on the role of senior public and government relations specialist. Buckallew will be responsible for acting as a liaison between MFA Oil Company, the public, industry trade associations and government agencies. In addition to his current responsibilities as editor of Momentum magazine, managing press relations and writing internal and external communications, he will now monitor legislative issues and coordinate the company’s lobbying efforts. Buckallew has been with the company since 2015 when he joined the company as a writer in the marketing department.

“Adam has done a great job of helping us communicate who we are and what we stand for to all of our stakeholders,” Ihler says. “In his new role, Adam will gradually add governmental affairs responsibilities. I am confident Adam will help us navigate the ever-changing governmental environment to ensure MFA Oil is positioned for success.”
