Partnership Makes DEF Deliveries Profitable

An agreement has been struck with Brenntag Mid-South to handle delivery of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) totes and bulk shipments to MFA Oil customers. Brenntag has distribution facilities setup throughout MFA Oil country, including: Kansas City, St. Louis, Des Moines, Springfield, Little Rock and Memphis.

“This is a great partnership with a large, reputable supplier that has excellent geographic coverage of our trade territory,” says Will Reniker, senior distribution manager. “Prior to this agreement, we were breaking even or losing money on most DEF deliveries. Working with Brenntag on our bulk DEF sales will help us turn a loss leader into a profitable product.”

Brenntag began servicing MFA Oil’s bulk DEF sales on Feb. 15. Plant offices are now required to complete a DEF requisition form for sales of DEF totes and bulk deliveries. Reniker says MFA Oil will continue to handle shipments of cases and drums of DEF internally.
