Following the promotions of Will Reniker and Tom Procter to their new roles as regional vice presidents of MFA Oil operations, several organizational changes will take effect on July 24.
Ashley Bower, senior manager of marketing services, and Adam Buckallew, senior public and government relations specialist, will report to Amanda Cooper, vice president of human resources.
Mike Platt, senior APM sales manager, will report to James Greer, senior vice president of supply and transportation.
Kyle Carroll, senior business development manager, will report to Kenny Steeves, senior vice president of MFA Oil operations.
Ed Harper, vice president of risk management, plans to fill Procter’s former position of director of safety and maintenance, and that position will be posted to the company’s internal job board soon.
Jon Ihler, president and CEO, views the restructuring as an opportunity to strengthen the company and help fulfill some of the cooperative’s long-term priorities.
“Bringing our business development team inside the BPLP unit will foster a higher level of collaboration and alignment with our field operations,” Ihler says. “There are strong synergies between APM and the supply division with the large volume of refined fuel we purchase, the vendors and the platforms they use. Similarly, marketing and human resources share strong connections in internal communications, recruitment and employee relations.”
Ihler says the goal is to create a more seamless organization where collaboration between departments, divisions and employees is improved and information flows more smoothly.
