Following the formation of East and West regions within the BPLP division, Clayton Uthe, director of safety and maintenance, decided to align his staff in the same fashion. On Oct. 2, Rick Wilson was promoted to safety and maintenance manager for the East Region, and Bill Jung was named safety and maintenance manager for the West Region. Jung had already been serving in a similar capacity for the southern territory.

Wilson is now responsible for assisting with the safety training of BPLP drivers and service technicians and coordinating maintenance projects from conception to completion in the company’s eastern region.

Wilson has worked for MFA Oil for more than 15 combined years in a variety of positions within the BPLP division. His previous positions included driver, service technician, plant manager and senior BPLP safety and maintenance specialist. Wilson briefly left the company in 2022 to work as a propane meter inspector for the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Weights, Measures and Consumer Protection Division before returning to MFA Oil.

He now reports to Clayton Uthe, director of safety and maintenance.

“I am excited to have Rick in his new role,” Uthe says. “With his many years of experience in the industry and with MFA Oil Company, I look for good thing to come from Rick. He has a high level of attention to detail that will be instrumental in his new position. There are several projects to complete this year in Rick’s territory and he is hitting the ground running.”
