On Oct. 17, Matt Townsend was promoted to the position of infrastructure operations manager. He now leads the company’s technical teams in network and system operations. Townsend’s responsibilities include management of company voice and data communications infrastructure, development of tech-based training for company employees, and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
Townsend reports to Greg Sellers, director of information technology.
“Matt brings a strong, customer-first attitude along with solid technical knowledge to the role,” Sellers says. “He is respected by his team and shows excellent organizational skills that will help move our large list of projects forward. We are all excited to work with Matt in this new role and have high expectations for him.”
Townsend joined MFA Oil in Feb. 2020 as a retail services technician. In his nearly three years with the company, he has also held the roles of retail systems administrator and infrastructure operations system administrator.
Before joining MFA Oil, Townsend served as general manager for Precision Computer, an IT support service provider based in Sedalia, Mo.
