Miguel Estrada has been promoted to application development manager. In his new role, Estrada will lead the company’s application development team, oversee the company’s mobile development platform systems, and manage development and maintenance of the company’s application roadmaps. Estrada will report to Matt Boyce, senior manager of development and data solutions, and work closely with Boyce on development strategies, architecture and application solutions.
“Miguel has been instrumental in leading our application development team during our implementation of DSI applications,” Boyce says. “He came to MFA Oil with a history building, maintaining and supporting applications in DSI and that has been his main focus since arriving. Miguel has provided leadership in developing standards, working through promotion processes and most recently leading the company through a full system upgrade which positions us well for future application development. Moving forward Miguel will work with his team to provide additional features and applications in DSI and also begin exploring areas for native mobile apps to provide information to our customers and employee.”
Estrada began his career with MFA Oil in March 2018 as a senior mobile application developer for the Development Operations Department. Prior to joining MFA Oil, Estrada worked for four years at WireCo WorldGroup in Kansas City, Mo., as a mobile application developer and IT support specialist.
Estrada is a graduate of State Fair Community College where he earned an associate of arts degree in computer science.
