On Friday, August 29, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Raetz announced the promotion of Justi Montague to the role of Director of Operational Efficiency and Data Governance. Raetz views the newly created position as crucial to the company’s successful integration of analytical data, processes, and procedures as MFA Oil rolls out new software across divisions.
“We’re in the middle of rolling out Energy-Force to our plants, and we’ve got a major update for PDI (the primary software for Break Time operations) that’s coming soon as well,” Raetz says. “We needed someone who could ensure the implementation of these systems is effective and efficient, and who could work well with people across our company from the field to the Home Office. Justi is uniquely qualified with the skills and background to do these things.”
Montague’s primary duties will be to ensure company processes and procedures are standardized, documented, trained and, where possible, automated. Montague will also play an integral role in cleaning up the company’s data, which Raetz says is needed for the management team to make well-informed decisions.
“I am excited to continue to grow in the company and to learn about day-to-day operations from our field teams,” Montague says. “I look forward to the challenge of cleaning up some of our data and automating processes.”
Montague joined MFA Oil in July 2015 as a human resources information systems (HRIS) specialist before becoming HRIS manager in Dec. 2016 and senior HRIS manager in 2019. In June 2020, she took on the senior program office manager role and was responsible for overseeing major company projects.
Before joining MFA Oil, Montague worked as a helpdesk technician, analyst and training coordinator at Columbia College.
