The MFA Oil Foundation recently announced $46,350 in grants to 24 organizations during its most recent meeting in April. The full list of recipients and how they plan to use their grants follows:

Brashear Boosters Club, Brashear, Mo. – Mobile media lab

Open Door Service Center, Inc., Sedalia, Mo. – Storage shed

Northwestern R-I Agriculture Education, Mendon, Mo. – Welding tools, metal to construct working/welding table

Magic City Clovers 4-H Club, Moberly, Mo. – Safety fence & non-slick surface for agility practice

Scotland Co. Agricultural & Mechanical Society, Baring, Mo. – Materials to reinforce barn roof at Scotland County Fairgrounds

Kinsey Volunteer Fire Department, Bloomsdale, Mo. – Portable foam application equipment

Faith Lutheran School, Kirksville, Mo. – Chicken coop materials, chickens, soil, seeds, plants, etc.

Vernon County Youth Fair Rabbit/Poultry Committee, Nevada, Mo. – Assist with building new poultry/rabbit barn

Chariton County Cupboard, Brunswick, Mo. – Two new freezers

Knox County R-I, Edina, Mo. – Automated plasma cutting table

Boy Scout Troop 98, Cairo, Mo. – Storm shelter generator, electrical supplies, concrete, fencing and roofing

Town of Keota, Okla. – Playground equipment

Kirksville Child Development Center, Kirksville, Mo. – Outdoor learning garden

City of Paris, Mo. – Playground equipment

myTeam Triumph of the Ozarks, Clever, Mo. – Two ADA running chairs

Grand River Entertainment, Chillicothe, Mo. – Expansion of concession stand

The Salvation Army of Hannibal, Mo. – Refrigerator and chest freezer

Pryor Youth Baseball Organization, Pryor, Okla. – New netting for baseball fields, purchase dirt and gravel

Sullivan County Exposition Center & Fairgrounds, Milan, Mo. – Water access for new fairgrounds

Neighbor’s Helping Neighbors, Boonville, Mo. – Funds to seal and coat the existing building’s roof

Linn Co. Council of Aging, Brookfield, Mo. – Window replacement in their building

Trinity 4-H of Adair Co., Kirksville, Mo. – Update electrical system in NEMO hog barn

Centralia High School Baseball, Centralia, Mo. – Baseball equipment

Central Missouri Cancer Memorial Park, Boonville, Mo. – Construction of Cancer Park

The MFA Oil Foundation provides cash grants to support nonprofit organizations that are working to improve communities where MFA Oil has a significant concentration of members and employees. The Foundation’s mission is to assist rural communities in MFA Oil Company’s market area by donating resources that help develop and strengthen organizations dedicated to education, youth, human services or civic endeavors. The Foundation is primarily funded by pre-tax, non-member income. Since its inception in 1998, the MFA Oil Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in grants.
