MFA Petroleum Company Acquires Big O Tires Store in Warrensburg

The number of Big O Tires franchise stores the company operates continues to grow. On May 31, MFA Petroleum Company acquired an existing Big O Tires store in Warrensburg, Mo.

The store, located at 423 E Young Avenue, had been operated by a different franchisee. All store employees have been retained, including manager Damion Smith.

“We are really excited to expand our presence in the western half of the state,” says Charlie Alexander, Big O Tires director of operations. “We have many members and delegates in the Warrensburg area, and we look forward to serving them and the entire community.”

With this acquisition, the company now operates a total of 20 franchise locations – 14 stores in Missouri, three in northwest Arkansas and three in Oklahoma.

In a recent management Q&A story, Ed Harper, vice president of retail automotive, stated plans for growing the company’s Big O Tires operations and announced construction had begun on a new location in Lebanon, Mo.

MFA Petroleum has owned and managed Big O Tires franchise stores since 1998.
