Four individuals, Michell Farar, Trey Glenn, Jarrett Shultz and Jack Skelton, have been promoted to plant manager recently and two current plant managers, Dalton Oden and Matt Salmon are now leading different plants.
Michell Farar – Skiatook, Okla.
Hometown: Skiatook, Okla.
Work Experience: I’ve worked for MFA Oil for 16 years. There have been ups and downs, but it’s overall a great company to work for. We have a great crew here in Skiatook.
Favorite Part of Your Job: The people I get to meet.
Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my grandbaby and riding motorcycles.
Trey Glenn – Warrensburg, Mo., and Clinton, Mo.
Hometown: I was born and raised in Lincoln, Mo.
Work Experience: I grew up on a cattle farm. I managed a large cow/calf operation before coming to MFA Oil as a propane driver. I have also worked as a service technician and the west central operations manager before taking on the plant manager position.
Favorite Part of Your Job: I like meeting our customers, establishing working relationships with people and providing great customer service.
Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting and fishing of any kind.
Dalton Oden – California, Mo. and Eldon, MO.
Hometown: I grew up and spent my childhood in Eldon, Mo.
Work Experience: I was a driver for a year and then managed the company’s Marshall plant for a year. Before joining the company, I worked as a railroad contractor and in restaurant management.
Favorite Part of Your Job: I enjoy delivering outstanding customer service. Creating great relationships with employees and the people we serve is my favorite part of the job.
Hobbies: Outside of work, I enjoy golfing and hunting, as well as watching the Kansas City Chiefs.
Matt Salmon – Marshall, Mo.
Hometown: Columbia, Mo.
Work Experience: I have been with MFA Oil for over 20 years and have had several different jobs within the company. I started at the Columbia bulk plant and have since worked in the lab, as a bulk oil driver and as plant manager for the Pensacola and Skiatook, Okla. plants.
Favorite Part of Your Job: I like interacting with our customers and getting to know them.
Hobbies: I spend most of my free time with my wife, Kris, and son, Ryan, and we try to get together with our families as much as possible. I also enjoy playing golf and watching sports.
Jarrett Shultz – Lebanon, Mo.
Hometown: I spent a lot of my adult life in Kentucky during my military career so, I consider West Kentucky to be home. As a child, I traveled a lot with my dad, who was in the Air Force. We lived in Florida and Japan.
Work Experience: I retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service in transportation and logistics. I started with MFA Oil in August 2021 as a propane driver. After six months, I became a senior fleet and safety specialist. I worked in that position for a year before taking on the plant manager role.
Favorite Part of Your Job: I like working with our customers and employees. I appreciate the opportunity to meet members of the local farming community and to help people. I look forward to coming to work every day and enjoy what I do.
Hobbies: I love to be outside, especially hunting and putting in food plots. I also love spending time with my family outdoors, fishing, hiking, kayaking and traveling.
Jack Skelton – Berryville, Ark.
Hometown: I was born and raised in Berryville, Ark.
Work Experience: I’ve worked in the propane business for 38 years. I’ve done everything from being a delivery driver to service technician to plant manager.
Favorite Part of Your Job: I love the freedom to be outside when possible, making sales and meeting friends and neighbors.
Hobbies: When away from work, I look forward to watching Razorback baseball and staying on the farm.
