For the past 27 years, Gary Sommer has served MFA Oil customers in the Wright City area. He hauled refined fuels for most of his career, but he took pride in being an “all-around guy” who could do whatever was needed for his plant.
Northeast District Manager Barry Oden says Sommer’s versatility will make him hard to replace.
“Gary has done it all, from refined fuel deliveries to propane deliveries to service work, you name it,” Oden says. We could always count on Gary. He has been as reliable as the day is long. I’ve always appreciated his sense of humor and his willingness to help his plant.”
Area Manager Marty Mills says Sommer was a great team player.
“Gary is a great guy who truly cares about MFA Oil and our customers,” Mills says. “There’s nothing in the company Gary doesn’t know how to do in the field, and we will surely miss him.”
Sommer has enjoyed his time with the company and appreciates the “great bunch of people” he has worked with throughout the years.
“I came to work every day with an open mind and a desire to serve our customers,” Sommer says. “It’s been a great ride.”
