Recently, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly reappointed David Shriver, BPLP Area Manager, to the Kansas Propane Education and Research Council (KanPERC). Shriver will serve a three-year term ending in 2025. Shriver was originally appointed to KanPERC in Aug. 2021.
The purpose of this council is to develop programs and projects to enhance consumer and employee safety and training; provide research and development to improve existing propane technology; and to increase efficiency of propane use. KanPerc is also charged with designing any other programs to educate the public about the safety and environmental aspects of propane.
Shriver oversees bulk fuel and propane services at the company’s plant in Garnett, Kan.
