MFA Oil CSRs and home office staff met in Columbia, Mo. on April 5-6 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center for customer service training. The first day of the event featured a self-defense training session led by senior CSR Sarah Fuehring, a tour of the new Business Support Campus in Moberly, dinner, service award presentations and an evening of country line dancing.

Day two started with an interactive presentation by Kenny Steeves, vice president of BP/LP operations. Steeves discussed how the company’s CSRs play an important part role in customer education regarding delivery efficiency, autofill and tank monitors. Steeves issued a challenge to the CSRs to raise the percentage of autofill customers from 4.5% in BP to 20% and from 25.8% in LP to 50%. If the company meets those goals by end of the calendar year, the next CSR meeting will be held in Nashville, Tenn.

“It was a pleasure to be able to meet and visit with our CSRs and share with them how important they are in the efficiency changes we’re trying to make in our business,” Steeves said. “Their efforts are key to the success of this program. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to come to Columbia and participating in the meeting.”

Breakout sessions on customer service, Excel and fixed assets basics and E1 were held throughout the rest of the morning. The meeting concluded with lunch and words of inspiration from featured speaker Tony Richards of Clear Vision Development. Richards discussed how change impacts companies and employees, the importance of leadership and essential mindsets for personal and professional growth.

“I really enjoyed the meeting,” said Kathleen Horine, CSR for the Brunswick and Carrollton plants. “The visit to Moberly, the self-defense class, skits and learning to line dance, I thought it was one of our better meetings and very informative.”
