Customers are familiar with visiting Break Time to fill their gas tanks, but now at one store, there’s an option to fill up on more than just fuel.
The Break Time store on Grindstone Blvd. in Columbia is adding jugs of draft beer, commonly referred to as growlers, to its in-store beverage options.
“We’re testing growlers sales to see if it might make sense to roll out to additional stores,” says Curtis Chaney, senior vice president of retail. “We know there is a growing demand for local craft beers and we are offering a variety of choices from Missouri breweries.”
Break Time is selling two-types of 64-ounce growlers bottles: glass and stainless steel. The glass container is sold for $14.99, which includes the first fill. The filled stainless steel bottles are priced at $37.99. All refills will cost $12.
