In celebration of the successes of 2020, Big O Tires recently recognized outstanding employees with a month-long celebration of awards, team dinners, raffle prizes and the first-ever virtual Annual Awards Ceremony. Charlie Alexander, senior director of Big O Tires, traveled the region in January to hand-deliver 26 trophies to stores and individuals that demonstrated success in various categories. Top employees from each store were also selected, based on performance, to enjoy local team banquets in place of the usual, larger division-wide gathering.
The festivities were concluded on Feb. 8, 2021, with a virtual Annual Awards Ceremony where the highly coveted Store of the Year trophy was presented to the Branson, Mo. store and the Territory Manager of the Year award was presented to Mel Atteberry.
Additionally, Alexander; Jon Ihler, MFA Oil president and CEO; and Ed Harper, MFA Oil vice president, shared encouraging remarks about the division. A variety of raffle prizes were drawn for eligible top employees.
“We had a fantastic year during 2020 in our Big O Tires division and it was because of the hard work by our teams and employees,” said Alexander. “With increased effort and continued focus on the future, I know 2021 will be great as well!”
