Big O Tires employees gathered at the Lodge of the Four Seasons in Lake Ozark, Mo., to honor accomplishments from the 2022 fiscal year. It was the second time in the 2022 calendar year that the Big O Tires team came together because the 2021 awards were postponed until April 2022.
“Moving forward, we will continue to have our banquet in November to celebrate the results from the prior fiscal year,” said Charlie Alexander, senior director of Big O Tires.
Individual stores and employees within the retail automotive division were recognized for fiscal and operational successes across 28 categories.
“We had another exceptional year in 2022 as we grew our overall store count from 19 to 22, and increased our sales and profitability year-over-year,” Alexander said. “Two stores stood out in the Store of the Year competition and only three points separated the two top-performing locations. Ultimately, the Business Loop store in Columbia edged out the Jefferson Street store in Jefferson City and the rest of the division.”
For the territory manager of the year award, Jim Williams took home the championship belt for the second year in a row and the third time in the last four years.
Alexander said any time he can bring his team together, it makes for a great event, and the 2022 awards banquet was no exception.
“Teresa Bowne put together another outstanding event for us, and I and all of the Big O Tires division would like to thank her for the time and effort devoted to making the evening a success,” Alexander said.
