A recent online auction of outdated field inventory items has cleared out a defunct warehouse and produced a gross profit of $60,226 for the company. The auction included used cars and trucks, old gas pumps, air compressors, and other obsolete inventory items.

“The stuff we sold had lost its value to the company,” says Larry Ehrman vice president of logistics.

The items had been stored at the company-owned warehouse on Paris Road in Columbia and the auction helped to get rid of much of the inventory.

“We sold a good number of the items and the rest will be scrapped,” says Ehrman. “We are now free to tear down the old warehouse, lab and the Break Time, which is next door, to make room for a bigger and better convenience store.”

Break Time plans to begin construction on the new Paris Road store in the coming months.
