A recent note from an appreciative Break Time customer stresses why she and her friends and family drive out of their way to visit the store at 402 N. Woodbine in St. Joseph, Mo.

I bring in a small group of individuals with developmental disabilities every single Sunday morning. We have been coming on a regular basis for at least two years and buy coffee each time. All of your employees are wonderful, but two in particular stand out. Linda Culver and Marjorie Crossfield go above and beyond in making my friends feel welcome. In fact, my friends talk about both ladies as personal friends. They especially have grown fond of Marjorie since she works nearly every Sunday. When they walk in, if she’s not up at the front, they begin looking for her.
Both ladies visit with my friends as equals, and they are genuinely interested in their day. They complement them, tease them, ask questions to get to know them better, and all around make them feel special. We actually drive out of our way to come to this specific station because of these ladies. Although we started coming because we can get free coffee after so many card punches, we keep coming because of the excellent service we receive – service that is more than just minimum customer service, service that is relational…Their service definitely goes above and beyond in so many ways. Not only do I come every Sunday but now my family and I drive out of the way on other days just because we feel so comfortable at this Break Time. You all do a wonderful job at providing a clean, inviting place of business. Thank you for everything, but most of all, thank you for really caring about your customers. It truly shows.
