A customer recently posted a comment on Break Time’s Facebook page thanking Break Time Assistant Manager Cindy Bruce and Sales Associate Loretta Stevens, who work at store #3156 on Pioneer Boulevard in Boonville, for their kindness and understanding. The customer, a firefighter, had just come from the scene of a serious accident on Interstate 70 with a fellow fireman. They were hot, worn out and thirsty. Unfortunately, both had forgot their wallets.
The two firefighters first stopped at a Casey’s across the road but were turned away because they were not able to pay. That led them to Break Time, where they explained the situation to Cindy and Loretta. Cindy offered to buy the firemen’s drinks with her own money.
The firefighters offered to come back later to repay Cindy, but she told them, “You were out doing good deeds, and this is our good deed to you.”
