Kellie Heitmeyer joined MFA Oil as the company’s human resources and benefits manager in May. She oversees workforce management, employee onboarding and benefits for the cooperative.
Before joining MFA Oil, Heitmeyer had been working for American Outdoor Brands in Columbia, Mo., as human resources director. During her nine years with American Outdoor Brands, she progressed through a number of roles in the company’s human resources department, including specialist, generalist, business partner, manager and senior manager.
Her other work experience includes five years of retail management with JCPenney and Maurices, and time spent managing her family’s farm in Brunswick, Mo.
Heitmeyer reports to Amanda Cooper, vice president of human resources.
“We are excited to have Kellie join our team,” Cooper says. “She has a strong background in human resources and a mindset that will benefit our company. I appreciate her connection to the family farm. She understands our customers and employees and will be looking for ways to help us continuously improve.”
Heitmeyer graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in human resources management. She is a Senior Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resource Management.
