Bill Williams

Bill Williams, a driver for the Branson, Mo. plant, is retiring from MFA Oil on Dec. 31. Williams has worked in the propane industry since 1965, including 27 years with MFA Oil as a plant manager and driver. Before joining the cooperative, he worked as district manager, plant manager, and service technician for Union Gas Company and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Ken Garceau, Branson plant manager, has worked with Williams for 13 years and says Williams is known by his coworkers and customers for his dependability.

“Bill is incredibly knowledgeable about propane operations, and I could always count on him to deliver for our customers,” Garceau says.

Southwest Operations Manager Larry Collins says he never had to worry about Williams getting the job done.

“Bill’s customers love him, and he took great care of his area,” Collins says. “He will certainly be missed.”

CSR Thelma Tate says working with Williams has been her pleasure.

“Bill is the best,” Tate says. “All of the customers in the Shell Knob, Mo., area ask for Bill by name. Whenever I ask his customers any questions about their needs, they say, ‘Bill will know what to do.’ We are all going to miss him dearly.”

In retirement, Williams looks forward to enjoying more time with his family and managing his 11-acre property.
