Our team is in the final stage of calculating patronage payouts to members of the cooperative. We are expecting to mail the checks near the end of next week.
Patronage checks are normally mailed at the beginning of February, but have been delayed by a couple of weeks as we have adjusted to validating patronage totals in the EnterpriseOne software system.
At our annual meeting in November, delegates approved retiring the 2003 member equities ($1,430,143) and payment of $10,418,298 in 2016 member earnings for a total of $11.8 million to be returned to members. The patronage for fiscal 2016 represents the fifth-largest return to the membership in the cooperative’s 87 years of existence.
