Home Office Staff Volunteer for United Way Day of Caring

On Sept. 6, MFA Oil had 13 employees from the Home Office volunteer with the Heart of Missouri United Way’s annual Day of Caring event. The volunteers were sent to Services for Independent Living (SIL), a non-profit organization that promotes independence for persons with disabilities, senior and veterans.

The MFA Oil crew arrived at SIL in the morning and spent their day assisting the non-profit with a variety of clean-up and maintenance activities. Several employees worked to stain a deck and gazebo on the back of the SIL facility while others repainted bathrooms, trimmed landscaping and weeded.

The United Way chapter says more than 300 people participated in the Day of Caring and helped out local non-profit organizations.
