On the Move: Brian Hynek

Congratulations to Brian Hynek on his promotion to the position of IT Service Desk manager. He will now have direct supervision over both the enterprise and retail technology service desk teams. Additionally, Hynek will serve as an intermediary between service desk personnel and network operations tier 2 and 3 team members.

The primary focus of Hynek’s new position will be to transition MFA Oil’s technical helpdesk teams and their procedures into more industry-standard information technology service management (ITSM) areas.

“Brian’s attention to detail, keen problem solving skills and dedication to customer service and the ITSM methodology made him an obvious choice for this role,” says Jeremi Rowland, director of MFA Oil’s information technology services. “We are lucky to have him in this role and I look forward to seeing how his leadership will continue to transform the team.”

Hynek joined MFA Oil in Sept. 2008 and has progressed from being a PC technician to higher levels of responsibility, including his previous position of help desk supervisor for the company’s enterprise helpdesk team.
