MFA Oil recently wrapped another successful Week of Giving with employees raising more than $42,000 for four non-profit organizations. The campaign, which ran from October 26 to November 6, gave employees the opportunity to give back to the community by making a one-time donation or electing to contribute one hour of pay per month for a year via payroll deduction. Employees who opted to give a Helping Hand donation via monthly payroll deduction will receive 8 extra hours of PTO in 2021.
The Week of Giving campaign will result in the following charitable contributions:
Columbia Second Chance | $8,608.56 |
Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association | $9,782.28 |
Central Missouri Stop Human Trafficking Coalition | $9,452.88 |
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital | $14,750.40 |
“These organizations have an outstanding reputation of utilizing their funds to maximize the support to the recipients.,” says Tom May, employee development director. “Giving back to the communities we serve has always been a huge part of who we are and who we have always been as a company.”
For every 50 Helping Hand commitments pledged, the company held a $100 drawing for participating employees. With more than 100 pledges, the company drew two winners: Roberta Bryson, inventory accountant, and Robert Geist, driver (Palmyra), were the winners of the drawing.
